Sara Who?

Okay so I was supposed to wait until Thursday to blog….but I couldn’t resist.  Sara Who???  I refuse to watch the dog and pony show that will be the Republican National Convention.  We all know the Democrats already stole the proverbial show last week.  Michelle Obama gave an awesome speech.  Tiny Tears and Bill did what they needed to do and as expected Obama brought it home.  All was right with the world, and here come the Republicans.

We expected the Republicans to be desperate, and at the end the day nothing they do should surprise us….but Sara Who?  Relatively speaking I’m sure there were some decent VP candidates out there.  Does John McCain really think the Pantsuit Posse is so desperate they will vote for anyone with ta-ta’s?  After making such a big case about Obama’s experience, John McCain plucks a chick he spoke to TWICE?

For those that don’t know, Sara Who is the Governor of Alaska.  She is mid-way through her first term, and prior to that she was the mayor of a small town.  She has no foreign policy experience. She met John McCain one time a while back, and then John McCain called her last week to ask her if she wanted to be Vice President.   He ought to be ashamed of himself.  I had to go through a harder interview process when I applied for a seasonal job at Bloomingdales!

So what do we know about Sara.  Well, she is under investigation for trying to get her brother-in-law fired from his job.  I can’t knock her hustle though….if I felt my sister’s husband dogged her out, and I had a little pull, I might try to get him tossed from his job too…..but I’m not about to be Vice President.  Why on earth would McShame select a candidate already involved in a scandal?  Oh yeah, he’s trying to steal the Pantsuit Posse votes.  Now had Tiny Tears not been nursing her sour grapes for so long, her Traveling Pantsuit Posse wouldn’t be so much of a factor right now…but I digress.

What else do we know about Sara…she’s about to be a grandma.  Her seventeen-year-old daughter is pregnant and about to marry the “baby daddy”.  Far be it for me to judge her parenting skills, but if her kids are running wild do we really want her as second in command?  Let’s not kid ourselves, McShame isn’t getting any younger and if she couldn’t juggle running Alaska and her household what happens if she becomes top dog?

Regarding her policies and voting records, she was a proponent of “Abstinence Only” programs in public schools.  We see how well that one worked out for her.  Don’t get me wrong; the pregnant teenage daughter is sort of irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.  What is relevant is why John McShame would pick HER.  Sara Who????  I can’t believe the crazy right wing media is falling for this mess too!  Come on now….are you kidding me?????

Obama is going to win, so it doesn’t really matter, but I am slightly insulted that the Republican’s think so little of voters in this election.  This country is screaming for CHANGE and McShame picks a running mate that embodies all those old school Republican ideals that have been making us miserable since forever!   I just hope the Pantsuit Posse will come to their senses and realize this was just a ploy to steal their votes and a vote for McShame and Sara Who is a vote for Republican Mess.  When I saw the initial press conference announcing Sara Who as the running mate I was shocked and floored.  Five days later, you can add disgusted to the list.  So Epiphanyblog tell me….what’s your take on Sara Who?

  1. You left out the part about how she ripped apart the Republican old boys network in Alaska, exposing the corruption that was going on. You also neglected to mention her city council experience and the years she spent on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

She was elected the president of the of the Alaska Mayors Council, a group comprised of all of the mayors of cities in Alaska.

The night before John McCain announced his selection, I actually said to my wife that he should choose her. She agreed with me totally. We both appreciate a fresh voice in Washington that has a track record of rocking the traditional boat and cutting government waste, not creating more of it.

Oh, I almost forgot … she’s got that hot Tony Soprano’s psychiatrist thing going for her too! 🙂

The fact is, she is no more qualified than Barack Obama to run the country. The Republicans have just been dying for the experience factor to be raised. McCain’s selection of Sarah (that’s how it is spelled) Palin opens the door wide open for the Liberal media to step through and they’ll probably be just stupid enough to do it.

As far as her daughter becoming pregnant and deciding to keep the baby and marry the father is concerned, I know you see that as ridiculous. She should have just aborted the baby and and swept the whole thing under the carpet, I’m sure you would say. Who would be the wiser? I know you Libs all lock your children up so such a thing couldn’t happen to them, right?

I can’t wait to see how long it takes for a mindless Liberal blogger to state that Governor Palin’s Downs Syndrome infant should have been aborted, too. The idiots are already claiming that child was really the daughter’s. Heck, if other Senators carried the same position as Barack Obama on the Born Alive Act, it still may not have been too late to abort the five-month-old today!

There is no one that John McCain could have picked that would have made an Obamaniac change their vote. What possible difference does it make to you? We Republicans find it quite amusing that Democrats are so up in arms about Senator McCain’s pick. That’s why we exist, after all; just to annoy the heck out of you!

  2. Well of course that is all republicans do, annoy democrats and then leave a mess for us to clean up.

This is not just about choices being made but the simple fact that republicans have the “balls” to think voters are idiots. Actually, republicans are the only idiots here.

Let’s view this from a family perspective and not a policial one. Governor Palin is obviously sacrificing her family for her polical gain. Last time I checked a down syndrome child required special care. Who is left to create the unique bond of a mother and child. Don’t say the father! Teen pregnancy happens yes, but to sit and think the absence of a mother at home does not play a major role in that is ridiculous. We model what we see…ask any child pyschologist or child welfare worker.

So instead of fighting the “republlican old boy network” she should have been home with her children.

Republicans get played every election. They are just to sorry to realize it. They all are happy paying high gas prices, high food prices and not to mention their loved ones coming home in body bags for a war that is unjustified. Oh, I am sorry, only democrats feel the pain for the good old boy republican way.

  4. I don’t think Democrats are up in arms about WHO McCain picked, I think they are questioning WHY he picked her considering McCain’s biggest argument was the fact that Obama was inexperienced. Where Obama lacked knowledge, he picked a running mate that could assist him and/or lead him in the right direction. Seems to me like Obama put his pride aside by picking Biden. McCain decided in the midnight hour, or shall I say his political team decided in the midnight hour to pick an INEXPERIENCED candidate to tackle the vote of the women. Which leads me to another point, and don’t take this the wrong way, I am a woman (hear me roar) and I stand strong for women, when it comes to our families, our careers, any future endeavors, and our rights, BUT here we have a woman, 44 years of age, with small children (on that has special needs)…how in the world can she focus on the nation and her family as well? At least in regards to Hillary, Chelsea is grown. Yes many of us have our fathers in our lives (including me) but come on lets be realistic, father’s roles in American households have been provider/protector, not playing the role of a mother. I can’t respect a woman that puts others in front of her own family. As far as her daughter being pregnant, unfortunately things like this happen, but I have a problem with this woman justifying it by allowing her 17-year-old daughter to marry her 18-year-old boyfriend. With the divorce rate being so high in American families, why would you set your own child up for failure to save face? Seems to me that she needs to focus on her own house before she tries to focus on the White House. Try again in a few years when your family is a tad bit older. I have to give Barack Obama his respect where respect is due, his fight against the republicans have been about the issues, but they have fought a dirty race thus far by trying to attack him with things that are not relevant….funny how tables have turned and they all of a sudden want to keep quiet to “focus on the issues”.

  6. What kind of mother makes her 17 year old daughter marry simply to save face? And I know the parents of the red neck (his words not mine) baby daddy aren’t too happy about their son being forced to marry so soon. And it’s nice to know the interview process for VP is so simple. To think I needed a masters degree and 4 interviews to get my current gig!

  7. Stop saying SARA who! (Thats actually funny)

According to Giuliani she does have experience, she was amayor and now governor–give me a break! Everyone doesn’t come with experience! At some point you have to be given a chance based on your POSITIVE track record for CHANGE to begin a legacy(& not solely because someone or your father owes someone a favor and gives you a job, you clearly not qualified for–that right its not what you know it who you know).Don’t speak to an experience you haven’t lived! Give him a chance to F it up– if thats whats going to happen–for the past 8 years thats all you’ve done!

Pregnant daughter: clearly not the issue but was is funny about the whole thing is how people believe that by marrying someone after the child has been conceived makes it right! Not even–the child is still a bastard! The fact that they were trying to hide it is what amazes me. People are too busy trying to act as if the act doesn’t happen in their families. Not because you don’t talk about it–does it go away. Hugs and kisses alone didn’t get us here–but in the words of CR–if its white its ALRIGHT!

What hot Tony Soprano Psychiatrist thing–in a grandma kinda way–that bun is NOT cute! Tiny tears is cuter than she is but enough of this nonsense 62 days until Election Day! Let the votes speak for themselves.

  8. Although everyone has expressed some valid points, I’ve had enough of the “EXPERIENCE” argument. The republicans have the audacity to put Obama down because of a perceived lack of “EXPERIENCE”. How do they ( Republicans) justify dragging the country down for the past 8 years? Bush and his clan had “Experience” and look at our present situation. They should be ashamed! Let us continue to be educated about the real issues and don’t allow them to distract us with media tricks, and distorted ads.
